Cockroaches in the College Dorms Our dorm is populated with more than 150 students from all parts of the country. However, humans alone do not make up most of the population of the dorm. Cockroaches live year round in the humble abodes of many college freshmen. Walking through the halls of the dorm, finding evidence of their residence is very easy. Most of the time, there are squashed ones in the halls and on the sidewalks leading to the dorm. Something must be done in order to keep the roaches from taking over completely the male dorms. However, they absolutely must have a supply of water or they will die within days (New Jerse y 2). Once infected with roaches, how does one go about getting rid of these unwanted pests? The answer sounds simple enough, but actually attaining the desired results may be a bit harder. If the roaches are simply looking for warmth, food and water, it follows that getting rid of the water supply and food source would be enough to rid the bugs for good.
